Lesson 21 – Nucleotides

Lesson Description

In this lesson, students combine many topics learned earlier, such as aromaticity, hydrogen bonding, and bonding rules, to draw and interpret nucleobase structures and their hydrogen bonded dimers. These dimers, when combined with ribose or deoxyribose sugars and 5′ phosphate groups, form the basis for RNA and DNA structure.
