About Course

Welcome to Star Chemistry! This is an incredible new course the begins with important high school chemistry concepts like the mole, isotopes, and radioactivity, and then applies these concepts to the nuclear reactions of stars. In this unit, students learn the origins of the elements that make up the world by studying the processes that occur in different kinds of stars. This is truly a one-of-a-kind course that will ground your student in chemistry basics, but also connect their world in ways they never thought possible. 

Who should learn this? This course could be done as a stand alone unit, but works better after completing the first unit of Biochem 2.0, Panorama. Despite being more technical, this unit is probably accessible to most students, down to the younger age groups. It has a small amount of math, including calculating a weighted average and substituting numbers in a certain equation. But most of the content only requires simple counting.

*As of August 15, the majority of the videos (and the workbook) are available. I plan on completing all these lessons within a few weeks, but you should feel free to start learning. Around 3.5 hours of video is currently uploaded.
