This 10 lesson unit can function as a stand-alone introductory course in chemistry and biochemistry, but it is also the new entry point into the Biochemistry Literacy program. In this first unit of the new Biochem 2.0 course, students build foundational skills that will quickly propel them to high level understanding that is far beyond what is normally expected of young students. These lessons features 9 hours of video, an improved workbook to support focus and learning, and next-level visuals and animations. I’ve also photographed all the molecular models that the kids will build to make molecular modeling fool proof. The course is appropriate for students from elementary school through high school.

This unit replaces and expands on lessons 1, 2, and 5 from my classic program. Once students complete this unit, they should move on to the classic course, and they can skip those lessons.

The content is far beyond typical school curriculum, but I have focused on appropriate NGSS topics, so elementary students and schools can confidently use these materials.

Soon, an additional unit will come online which will improve more of the early lessons from he classic program.
